Snow Day!

We had a self-imposed snow day today. Zachs school is at the base of the mountain on a pretty steep hill. When I woke up this morning I checked for school cancellations, then I looked outside then I DIDN'T wake anyone up. It didn't feel like a good day to be out and about for a half day of school. He hasn't missed any school all year then 2 days this week. Ah well, I have a feeling he wasn't the only one absent today.

We took advantage of the snow though! Took some time to have some fun! I loooooove snow! So pretty and so much fun!

We had a blast playing in the snow. Best snow day in ages! After we did hot chocolate, donuts and watched the Wizard of Oz. Such a great day!

Christmas

So.... I'm really behind on posting this.... I have no excuses.

Anyway! We had a wonderful Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve at my Moms house like we do every year. Its really the part I most look forward too. On Christmas we spent time at home, then went to see Rise of the Guardians with a friend. When we got home Brandons mom and dad came over. We opened more gifts, had dinner and played Star Wars Trouble. It was all wonderful. Now pictures for posterity sake!

Thankful day 20

I'm so thankful that my 2 cats can finally be in the same room as one another with out death matches breaking out! It has taken awhile and they are still far from friends but there is a lot less  hissing and growling around here.

I am thankful for passports! My whole family has them now and I feel like the world is open to us! I want to take them so many places!

I am thankful for my Gramma. I have always adored her. Growing up, her house was my absolute favorite place to be. She is so wonderful and sweet. I am very thankful to still have her around so my kids can know her. They think the world of her also.

Thankful Day 16

I am so thankful that my kids have interests. Be it swimming, dancing, chess, star wars or anime. They have so many things that interest them. Whether they stick with these or not, its great that they are trying them and deciding that they like them or not. I fully believe that having interests will help them a lot in life.
